Hi Barry.

Personally, i've always liked HP for the layout of their keyboards. its
quite consistent. On some models however, there is not a gap between the
function keys as there would be on a normal full size desktop keyboard.
If the one you describe has keys close together as is standard on most
laptops and that doesn't bother you, then i'd certainly go ahead with
your pourchase. I've never liked toshiba laptops, they completely change
the layout of their keys i.e move the windows key to the top right on
some models, whereas some actually stick to a more standard layout with
the windows key in the usual place bottom left. HP always tend to place
the windows and alt keys bottom left as they should be.
