Can you buy the I phone as a sim free phone? Or does it have to be on
contract. Is it true that the new I phone 5 is coming out with the ability
to scan documents and use voice over to read them back?

You may find the Iphone easier to navigate. It has the same features as the
Ipad but the screen is smaller and accessibility is very good once you
master the gestures.

Subject: [BCAB] Offer of an iPad2 from Vodafone

I've just had an offer of an ipad2 from vodafone at £32 a month for 24
months; it includes a data plan so I can go online with it by means
other than wireless. It doesn't seem much cheaper, if at all cheaper,
than I could buy an iPad2 for from elsewhere, the attraction is to get
an already internet-enabled Apple device without having to shell out
all the money at once, a significant factor given I'd have to buy a
braillepen to use it.
So I just wanted to ask if anyone else used apple devices with a
vodafone data plan and to make sure that there weren't any
accessibility problems with that set up.
I could of course get a second mobile phone and go for the iPhone, is
there anything works better on an iPad2 than an iPhone 4 or vice versa
(from a blind person's perspective that is)?
Cheers
Guy
