You can get travel wireless routers these days for this sort of purpose. Safer than jailbreaking.

Hi,

IMHo this isnt' possible. It's doable certainly the other way round. I.E. Give your laptop a 3G WIFI connection from your phone.. However, you'd not want to be paying data charges all the way over there!

My only other suggestion is to Jailbreak and see if Cidia has an app. I'd check myself but there's no JB for IOS 4.3.5 yet.

If you want info on how to JB you could do worse than having alook at

Hi Chris.

Not as far as I know. Skype is quite useable on the laptop depending on
what you want to do with it though I agree it is easier and arguably more
natural to use it on the IPhone. I don't know if any device exists to allow
you to connect an IPhone directly to a broadband connection, I doubt it.

Have you thought of packing a wireless router and just doing it that way?

Hi all,

I am off to Zambia tomorrow, and often in African hotels one is offered
Broadband instead of WI-FI. Is it possible to link to broadband by
connecting my I Phone to my laptop with it connected to hotel broadband so
that I can use Skype which is so much easier on the I Phone?

Chris.
