Hi,

You can do all sorts of things. But try this,

1. Find the nvda exe.
2. Hit alt return to go into the properties.
3. Ctrl tab across to the Compatibility tab.
4. Select XP from the drop down, apply and OK your settings.
5. When you launch NVDA you'll hear a sound letting you know you are being challenged by UAC, hit alt Y to accept.

HTH
Barry.

Subject: [BCAB] Running a Programme as though it was in Windows XP in Win 7

Hi all,

I have windows 7 on my pc. I need to run NVDA as though it were in XP.
I need to do this because I want to run a synth that speaks Irish.
This will only work in XP. Can this be done from within windows 7 or
can I install both windows 7 and win xp on the same machine?

Ger
