Re: [BCAB] Higher rate mobility contact tom.reid21@virginmedia.com 06 Sep 2011 20:53 BST

Hi Andrew,

If poss try to talk to one of the actual decision-making team rather than
the front line staff.

My vision is zero, zero. I had explained this in my orig claim years ago.
Dla had talked about getting a consultant report from Moorfields. I checked
with Moorfields and all they had was microfilm which they could not read.

When I got tob the decision makers, I explained all this. I also told them
that I worked in welfare rights, attended loads of tribunals and that a
tribunal would murder this if it got to appeal.

I got a decision in a couple of days.

Tom

Hi Andrew,

The dedicated number for higher rate mobility claims for blind people closed
in April. You now have to ring the main number for the DLA helpline which is
08457 123456.

Hi,

Is there any specific DWP number or website I should contact to check
progress on my higher rate mobility application? I sent off a second
certificate in April, and haven't heard anything since then.

Thanks.
Andrew.
