Hi Terry

Yes, when I lived in Scotland, it was 50 there too. But I had to go through
all that rigmarole and I'm not 50 till next year! (smile). But it was in a
good cause, and actually saved my life, so would urge anyone else seriously
to complete the test if they can get help or alternative means.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi Steve,

Yes, I agree entirely. There seems to be a view that so long as the
instructions are available, then that's it and the listening stops there.

Well, I made an issue of this up here and got the district nurse to help.

Yes, I had the indignity of performing into a disposable bed pan and
offering the result to the nurse who then did the job.

By no means an ideal solution but I at least took part in the trial.

I took the line that we have as much right as everyone else to take part in
the screening, we start at 50 up here, so they'd better get their thinking
caps on before a discrimination campaign got underway.

Sadly, my partner, who's now 50, received an identical kit, so progress is
slow! Fortunately she has enough sight to manage it herself.

Cheers,

Terry
