It looks like the lights as you say although I live on my own and
haven't managed to get the sighted help yet, so I'm trying to
eliminate the drivers but can't seem to find them - can you or
someone tell me how to locate them using Windows 7 and
Window-eyes 7.5 please?

It could just be that the drivers are rubbish?
