Re: [BCAB] Mac migration Richard Godfrey-McKay 23 Sep 2011 09:30 BST

Hi, Is the Mac Book Pro the laptop version? I've been very tempted by that,
but was a bit put off by suggestions that it was hard to use without a
number pad. any clarification would be v much appreciated.

Hi

1: interacting with objects can take some time to get used to.

2: Don't expect it to be easy at first, it's not a pc and in some situations
won't behave like a windows pc, persist.

3: the trackpad is your friend at first, turn it on and use it.

Good luck!

I'm about to take delivery of a MacBook pro running lion with a view to
migrating full time. I'll be checking out online resources but would like to
know what people who've made the move would say are the three most
important things I should know up front which are different between mac and
pcs from a blind point of view?
