Hi,

You need to sort that issue out first.  Try pressing something like escape or F10 to get into a boot menu, this allows you to change the boot device without going into the BIOS.

Hi, thanks for that - wouldn't mind trying the low level format but how do I get something like spinrite on there?  It's a bit awkward that the error comes up before it has chance to boot to CD or USB.
