[BCAB] Running NVDA from a USB stick on a Windows XP machine Clive.Lever@kent.gov.uk 31 Oct 2012 16:24 GMT

Hello all,

how do I run NVDA from a USB stick on a Windows XP machine. Do you need to type in any keystrokes to launch it?

We've done what it asked on the NVDA website, loading the program files onto a pen drive. The site says to put 'Autorun' onto the pen, and that this should automatically launch on plugging in the pen drive. Although we did this, my sighted colleague says that on connecting the USB stick to the PC, the box still comes up asking if I want to run movies, open folder to view files, take no action and all that.

Does anyone have any ideas as to why NVD is not running without the need for further clicks?

Thanks,
Clive
