Clive, I'm not sure how the autorun thing works, but what I did was to put a link to the memory stick;s nvda.exe file on my desktop, and opted for nvda to start on booting my machine. If you don't want it starting automatically on booting, the shortcut to invoke it is left control and alt plus the insert key just above the delete, if you have set the insert key as the nvda control key in preferences.
