I am not getting the same problem as you opening multiple attachments to emails and in theory we have the same configuration here at ECC.  The suggestion about "preview" causing a problem may be a clue as I never use it.  Please get in contact when convenient.

The problem appears to be that the highlight does not always move with the cursor so even if JAWS speaks the file name it might not open and a different file may open.

I have found that if you press the end or pgdn keys to go to the last attachment focus is more stable. Sometimes it can also be cured by task switching by pressing alt+tab until you get back to the email.

It is difficult to deal with because it doesn't always happen.

To avoid these frustrations I save all my attachments to a specific folder and then view them in Word or Excel.  I appreciate that it's a few more steps but it's much less frustrating and more effective for me.

Hi Brian
I was using the left and right arrows. One frustrating consequence  in an email with multiple attachments  when using this method is that I press the right arrow once and JAWS  announces the file name and then upon pressing the  right arrow again the first attachment which is an Excel file opens to view in Outlook. I then have to press Ctrl + W to exit the message and return to the Inbox. I have tried the up and down arrows but JAWS stays silent.
