Hi Ger.

Have you tried it on a different machine? You could send it to me for a
free diagnostic. Alternatively, make your self a bootable USB stick,
even if your pc doesn't support booting from USB it'll still be able to
boot from CD. use a live distribution of linux called Vinux.

Its linux designed specifically for the visually impaired though
obviously sighted users can use it as well. We offer a live CD version
that does not require installation, a pen drive version, a version you
can run from windows, and a version you can install a long side windows.
