Jackie, There is no version for Mac, but anyone interested in the windows version should go here: http://download.cnet.com/iTunes-Folder-Watch/3000-2141_4-10524730.html Best, David. -----Original Message----- From: Bcab [mailto:bcab-bounces@lists.bcab.org.uk] On Behalf Of Jackie Cairns Sent: 21 November 2012 11:36 To: 'BCAB Discussion List' Subject: Re: [BCAB] Tidying up iTunes library Hi David Does this utility only apply to iTunes running under Windows do you know? I have some sympathy with Sunil's predicament, so it would be helpful to know whether this utility can run under the Mac as well. Many thanks. I can't find where I got it from at the moment, but a google search should get it for you. Once installed, you can get it to search specified folders for music, and it adds them to the itunes library. It takes a lot less time than trying to rebuild it manually. Best, David. -----Original Message----- From: Bcab [mailto:bcab-bounces@lists.bcab.org.uk] On Behalf Of Sunil Peck Sent: 20 November 2012 15:10 To: BCAB Discussion List Subject: [BCAB] Tidying up iTunes library Hi, I've shifted a lot of files around and deleted a lot of duplicate files in my documents since I first built an iTunes library on my computer. Because I manipulated the files in Finder as opposed to doing it from within iTunes, there are a lot of shortcuts in iTunes that point towards files that have either been moved or deleted. Because there are so many instances of this I thought I may as well delete my iTunes library and build a new one. I don't have any playlists and am not bothered about retaining play counts or anything. Is there an alternative to starting all over again, maybe a menu option I could activate from an options menu in iTunes? If not, what file to I need to delete? I'd like to avoid deleting any important system files.
