Hi Barrie

This is very interesting. My understanding was that you couldn't access a
Kindle Fire with speech very well, so what you have posted makes surprising
reading. If anyone else has successfully negotiated one of these devices,
then I too would be curious.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi folks. About the Kindle Fire
Kindle Fire HD 8.9" has the following accessibility features:
Voice Guide
 reads your screen actions aloud to assist with navigation, and reads the
text of Kindle books aloud using Text-to-Speech.
Explore by Touch
 reads aloud details about the selections you make onscreen (for example,
the title and summary of a book).
To turn on accessibility features:
Swipe down from the top of the screen and tap More.
Settings, tap Accessibility.
From this screen, you can also choose to lock the screen rotation to make
using accessibility features easier..
