I'm in the process of writing something if people want to bear with me. Kind Regards, Jackie Cairns -----Original Message----- From: Bcab [mailto:firstname.lastname@example.org] On Behalf Of Griffiths, Steve Sent: 28 November 2012 14:10 To: BCAB Discussion List Subject: Re: [BCAB] About the Kindle Fire It looks like the Kindle Fire HD 8.9 inch is only available in the US at the moment, and was only released there last week, hence the lack of info about it. The unit I looked at was the 7 inch one which is on sale in the UK and is severely restricted in its accessibility. The larger unit seems much more accessible, so hopefully Amazon will see fit to release it here soon. In the meantime, I'll try and find out if anyone at AFB or NFB is doing a review of it. Of course, it would also be good if Amazon didn't lock down the smaller and cheaper 7 inch unit to the extent of preventing its accessibility from being usable!
