Hi Barry, the most basic Kindle which is now around seventy quid has no TTS, but probably would be relatively easy for your Dad to manage particularly if you pre-registered it for him with his own amazon account. He would then be able to run things pretty simply direct from the kindle itself. The ;process of registration and setting up the account is something you'd be able to do at the Amazon site on your preferred computer and wouldn't need to involve using the Kindle at all. ' on the other hand, you really want to run it for or with him, then, as others have said, the Kindle Keyboard is the only show in town.

Barry,

I'm in exactly the same situation as yourself, but in my case, it is my
wife
who needs the support. I've got her the kindle keyboard, and am able to
support this with no major problems, although I'm looking forward to
reading
Jackie's article.

Best,

David.

Folks,

There's been allot of chat about this and I've got lost in it.

I'm wanting to buy my dad one. He can see, I can't. I'll eb charged
with setting it up for him and showing him around it, and possibly
purchasing some books. Which model will give me the best speech
feedback?

Regards,

Barry.
