Hi Tom

Then do check out Beyerdynamic headphones for this purpose, I would put them
over the best Sennheiser and Bose, but this is of course subjective.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi folks,

Thanks for the start.

I want a wired set, that I can listen to clasical music on.

In or over ear.

Listening at home so don't need fancy noise cancelling stuff.

Hi Tom,

It really boils down to what you're after and how much you're prepared to
pay. For example, are they just for use with a screen reader or will you be
listening to music as well. Even then, will you be listening in any great
detail or is it just background listening? Do you want on ear, over ear, in
ear? How long do you want the cable to be (and would you prefer detachable
or hard wired)? All this sort of thing will factor in.

That said, if you're looking for a reasonable pair of all rounders that go
on the ear rather than inside it and won't break the bank, I rate the Coss
Porta Pros. They're just shy of £25 on Amazon (
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Koss-Porta-Pro-Stereo-Headphones/dp/B00001P4ZH
) and, for the price, sound fantastic. Admittedly I don't own a pair
personally, but a friend of mine does and I always find them a pleasure to
use. They also fold down nice and small, which is always a plus.

HTH,
Matthew
