Re: [BCAB] Audio-description on DVD movies Wendy Sharpe 16 Dec 2012 13:44 GMT
I use Power DVD on my computer to play DVD's, and what you need to do is find languages in the menu system. If there is more than one entry, say English USA 1 and English USA 2, you cursor down to 2 and press enter. That should give you the AD. I think Amazon have a list devoted to AD if you go to their DVD section. I realise Clive wants an email list to talk about this, and perhaps Access UK is the one, but I'm sure the moderators won't mind us discussing it here. If they do, they will no doubt let us know! I am wondering myself about this as I am wondering if there is something that one needs to enable when going to watch on DVD player. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Clive Lever" <clive.lever@btinternet.com> To: "BCAB Discussion List" <bcab@lists.bcab.org.uk>; <access-uk@freelists.org> Sent: Sunday, December 16, 2012 10:22 AM Subject: [BCAB] Audio-description on DVD movies > Hello all, > > I want to open discussion about issues arising from the way > audio-description is or isn't available on commercially-produced DVD > movies.
