Hi Brian ET AL Thanks for that, jaws is certainly navigating through messages an awful lot quicker now. The only other sluggish part, is when I'm in an in box, say for example at the top, when I press the "fel" key, to delete a message, there is a delay of a few seconds before jaws will read the various fields of the next message. Any idea why that is? Thanks again. You may like to disable this to see if it helps. By default it is set to display it to the right. When the keystroke is typed, arrow down until jaws says, off, then press Enter. -----Original Message----- From: Bcab [mailto:bcab-bounces@lists.bcab.org.uk] On Behalf Of Steven Bingham Sent: 17 December 2012 19:29 To: 'BCAB Discussion List' Subject: Re: [BCAB] office 2010 sluggish with jaws HI I suspect you have preview switched on but I can't remember how to turn it off immediately. It's in one of those b**** menus. It's not my pc, as it has 4gig memory, an I7 processor with an ssd drive, so it is pretty nippy. When I'm in one of my in boxes, jaws is really sluggish to read unopened messages. E.g. if I am at the top of the in box, arrow down to the next message, then there can sometimes be around 5 to 10 seconds before jaws will read it. I'm running win7 64bit, and everything on the laptop is a clean install. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to make outlook work quicker with jaws. The whole experience is making a mockery of a lovely new fast laptop. Any help appreciated.
