Hi Jill.

Have you used a disk repair tool such as the Scandisk tool in Windows to
check your hard drive? Also you should check to see how heavily the drive
is fragmented as this could cause the issues you are experiencing especially
if you regularly add, delete and move big files around. If you need any
assistance with any of these operations then I will be happy to remotely log
in to your machine and take a look for you.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Subject: [BCAB] further to itunes issues

I think I've discovered the source of the issue regarding Itunes, and
it appears very much not to be an Itunes problem at all but an external
hard drive 1. I believe it was working fine until yesterday, but
having played a few songs from my music folders stored on it, it's
running slow and the files stutter. Unfortunately, they appear to be
corrupt too, as I copied a once working music file BACK ONTO MY
COMPUTER AND IT CARRIED ON IN ITS FRAGMENTED WAY. SO IT'S ORDERING A
NEW HARD DRIVE FOR ME AND I'm now left wondering whether I can salvage
my Itunes library, as I imagine that even if I could put new podcasts
on my Ipod, they'd play fragmented too. At the moment, documents are
unaffected.

Is there any accessible mp3 repair tools out there, and can my Itunes
library be fixed? I wasn't actually receiving any error messages, or
at least if I was, they weren't accessible.

Thanks.

Jill.
