Hi Gerard,

Easier said than done I'm afraid because omni-page, which I also use for
this task, has a limit on the number of pages it will process at any one
time: 500.

To make sure of best results, select about this number of pages worth, find
omni-page has sub-menu, find convert to text and press enter. It should save
the text files to the same folder.

You can also set up a number of separate jobs, which you can find by opening
omni-page itself and following the instructions the wizard gives you, but
you will still have to follow the page restriction limits, so you would have
to set up each job to be performed one after the other as an all night job.

Hope this helps.

Kelvin.

Subject: [BCAB] How to OCR multiple Files in Multiple Folders Automatically,
Converting Each File to a Text File

Hi all

I have about 25 folders, each with say 20 or more pdfs in them. I want
to convert all these files to txt files.

This will obviously take some time but should be doable automatically.

I have omnipage.

How is this to be done?

G
